This d100 random table can be used to tell the future, speak from beyond the grave, generate cryptic messages, and more! Each omen message below also includes a unique, optional “omen type” that can be used to describe the message: “You receive an auspicious omen from beyond the grave…”
These prompts have been written vaguely enough as to be easily incorporated into any fantasy campaign. Your players may even find ways to apply these messages to the events of the campaign on their own! Use them for a random bit of flavor, as a prompt to kick off your new quest, or secretly make note of the fortunes your players roll in order to make them come true later.
